Jordan Peele is returning to TV with a reboot of Scare Tactics, the 2003 SyFy hidden camera prank series. According to Deadline, “Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions are producing alongside Universal Television Alternative Studios, the unscripted arm of the studio where the Get Out and Nope filmmaker has an overall TV deal.”

If you only look at Peele as a filmmaker, then it seems like he works slowly and methodically, having released a mere three films since 2017. But he is, through Monkeypaw, a prolific producer. In that same eight year span, he has produced or executive produced for 17 projects—8 movies (including his own), 2 shorts (“Hair Love” won the Oscar for best short), 6 TV series, and a podcast.

With a fourth film slated for 2026, the breezy fun of Scare Tactics seems like a nice counterpoint to the drama of putting together a feature film.

If you never saw Scare Tactics, this is a good example. The devil baby is also hilarious.
