Longlegs screams while driving a car

Longlegs song (by Nic Cage) coming soon?

The Longlegs film didn’t explore the titular characters backstory all that much, which adds to the mystique, but it’s pretty clear that Dale Cobble had been, at one point, a rocker. The official X account for the film has confirmed that Longlegs was in, specifically, “a glam rock band”. And that a “final recording” is coming soon.

There’s actually a sample available on the film’s marketing website, thebirthdaymurders.net. It’s 39 seconds long, very scratchy, and you hear Nic Cage singing “Mr. Downstairs, at your door/a radio in my skull” before strange sounds drown out the vocals.

We’ll see if a full song becomes available. My dream would be if Nic Cage recorded an entire album as Dale Longlegs Cobble. That seems extremely unlikely. But it would be wonderful. Regardless, it’s awesome to see how Neon continues to support the film after release.
