Alien: Romulus promo VHS will be a collector's item

Alien: Romulus may have won “best niche marketing campaign of 2024” by giving press a VHS tape with special promotion footage.

In August, ALIEN: ROMULUS – directed by @FedAlvar – will hit the big screen. To promote the release to press & critics, @20thCentury sent out actual VHS tapes w/ special promo footage of the film. How bloody cool! Love the idea.

Director Fede Alvarez explained via X: Me and @20thcentury decided to release one full scene from my movie #AlienRomulus thou I had just one condition… it needed to be on VHS

Germain Lussie found a VCR then posted a video that showed the contents of the clip.

I have found a VCR thanks to @Lulamaybelle and her husband Jeff.

The tape reveals that ALIEN ROMULUS is coming to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday 7/26. Here’s the clip….

I’d post what the clip contained but I’m doing my best to not spoil anything about the movie until release. But the video confirmed that Romulus will debut on 7/26 at San Diego Comic-Con.
