The Quick Explanation
Infinity Pool is a film about self-confrontation. James Foster has become disappointed and frustrated with himself, stagnant. But watching the execution of his double summons up something primal, causing him to pursue a deeper confrontation with his own mortality and desire to live. A desire that’s egged on by Gabi and her crew. It’s a modern twist on the theme of the doppelganger, the other that is you, and what is gained or lost through such an encounter. This is why Infinity Pool has the tagline is “Find out what kind of creature you are.”
